Overview/Introduction
The Everbridge system will provide SLAM the ability to keep staff members and onsite partners abreast of Emergency and Closure situations through a notification system.
Everbridge can and will send notifications to all Business-related phones and emails and will also deliver to personal contact information specified in the Dayforce Human Resources Management system by way of a periodic upload. Additionally, there is a mobile app that can be used for receipt of notifications. Please see Everbridge App SSO Walkthrough document for more details on how to setup and log into the App.
SLAM administrators created a default list of delivery methods and order of delivery that will occur each time a notification is sent. At this time, we are not allowing either the delivery methods or order of delivery to be edited by the end users. In the case that a particular personal delivery method is not receiving messages, the user should verify the information exists in Dayforce and alert IT via a Team Dynamix ticket.
Once a notification is sent, the system will deliver messages to each of the methods with a 2-minute delay between.* Each notification comes with an option to “acknowledge” the message. Using and responding to the acknowledgement will halt the delivery of further messages to other methods AND will be tracked in the system for awareness of those who have or haven’t seen the message. As an FYI, sometimes an acknowledgement is received by the system while delivering the next message. If this happens, you may receive a message that says the message has already been acknowledged. There is no harm in this.
*It is important to note that email notifications will come from the following sender:
Saint Louis Art Museum Alerts <noreply@everbridge.net>
Within the message body itself, the message will be flagged as “EXTERNAL” but can be considered internal and valid.
