Overview/Introduction
Here are a couple of things to look for when trying to use your headphones that are NON-USB.(Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, CHCW videos)

Look at your computer AND/OR laptop port that you are trying to use. Generally, they have an icon next to the port showing you what you have as seen below. (If you are unsure, take a picture and send it to IT@SLAM.org for assistance).


The next step is to look at your headphones/earbud connector to determine which one you have.

Headphone/Earbuds with microphone feature (Left)
Headphone connection without microphone feature (Right)
Headphone splitter options:
1 x 3.5mm Female to 2 x 3.5mm Male

1 x 3.5mm Male to 2 x 3.5mm Female

By default, SLAM computers and laptops have the microphone AND camera turned off. To turn this on click on the Start button and the click the GEAR ,settings, Icon:

Then go to the Privacy settings towards the bottom of the page.

Then on the left pane, go to the Camera and Microphone options and turn them on:

That it! Your Audio AND Video should now be able to be used in an Audio/Video meeting.
